PLEASE NOTE

Chant Service: Our Sunday Evening Chant Service will take a break this week as we welcome Cor Cantiamo from Dekalb at 4:30 PM.  We will be back next Sunday (26 Feb.) evening at 5:30 PM. Please join us as we hold the office of Evening Prayer in the tradition of the early church. This service is a great way to unwind and prepare for the upcoming week. We invite you to stay after the service for light refreshments and fellowship.

Canterbury Concert Series: Please join us on Sunday, February 19th at 4:30 PM as we welcome Cor Cantiamo., a professional chorus under the direction of Dr. Eric Johnson of Northern Illinois University.  The group has worked closely with contemporary composer Morten Lauridsen, and will perform his major work Lux aeterna.

Shrove Tuesday: Shrove Tuesday falls on the 21st of February this year. We will celebrate the final evening before Lent with a pancake supper from 5:30-7:00 PM. A freewill donation will be taken. Please come out and join us for a time of fellowship and great food.

Book Club: Book Club will meet at 7 PM Tuesday, February 21st in the undercroft to discuss Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See. Anyone who loves to read is welcome to join us.  We have lots of fun, laughter, refreshments, and good discussion [sometimes even about the books!]  Next month’s meeting will take place on March 27th to discuss The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot.

Ash Wednesday Services: Father Tom Lamb will be here for the imposition of ashes and Eucharist this year. Services will take place in the church at 10 AM and 6 PM.

Small Group Discussion: Next Sunday (26 Feb.) we invite everyone to join us in the undercroft for our regular coffee hour. We will begin having discussions about the results of the Congregational Assessment Tool (CAT) that was taken back in October.  A light lunch will be provided during this time of discernment and fellowship.

World Day of Prayer: World Day of Prayer sponsored by Dixon Church Women United will be at 1 pm March 2 at First United Methodist Church, Dixon. All women are welcome.

Women's Bible Study: Study of St. Luke from "Living with Purpose and Passion" by Elizabeth George Mondays in the Undercroft -1:30-2:30 PM. No prior Bible study needed. All are welcome. Prayer Breakfast: The February prayer breakfast will be Saturday the 25th at 9:30 AM followed by breakfast out.  Please join us for a time of prayer and fellowship.

Stations of the Cross: As we enter Lent, we invite you to join us in the Nave for Lay led Stations of the Cross on Wednesdays, and Fridays at 5:00 PM beginning February 24th.

Food Bank Donations: If you have any canned goods or non-perishable food items you are willing to donate, please consider bringing them to the church.  Donations may be placed in the large wicker basket at the back of the nave or may be given to any usher. Food items received are for the Dixon Community Food Pantry.
