Congratulations: We welcome Miriam Anastasia Greene to our Parish family this week. Miriam was born at 12:55 p.m. on Wednesday, August 25th. She weighed 9 lbs, 11 oz and was 22” with a shock of curly black hair.

August Raffle: St. Luke’s is sponsoring a monthly raffle to support our parish mission trip to Zimbabwe during the month of August. Trein’s Jewelry has donated a Travel Jewelry Box and Freshwater Pearl Necklace with a magnetic clasp. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 and are available at coffee hour, the parish office or after services during the week. The drawing will take place September 5 at coffee hour.
Lobster Fest: St. Luke’s has begun taking orders for our 1st Annual Lobster Fest Fundraiser. Please visit the St. Luke’s Website to place your order online or pick up an order form at the church and get your orders in now. Lobsters are $20 each and are available cooked or live. You will be able to pick up your Lobsters in the alley, drive-through style, on Saturday, October 9th. Please have your orders placed by Thursday, September 30th.
ON THE HORIZON
Program Year: Our program year which includes Sunday school and Choir will be starting up on Sunday, September 12th.
Book Club: The Book Lusters will meet next at 7 p.m. on September 14 for The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck. All book lovers are welcome to join us for an evening of fellowship, laughter, and discussion—sometimes even about the books!
September Prayer Breakfast: Please join us for Mass in the Lady Chapel at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 18th followed by breakfast at The White Pines restaurant.
Second Saturdays Art Happenings: We will once again be participating in Dixon’s “Second Saturdays Art Happenings” Saturday, September 11th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Come on out and support the arts in Dixon and at St. Luke’s. This month St. Luke’s features the photography of Hope Greene.
